Perfectionist Guilherme Torres is mijn held! Zijn interieurs zijn keer op keer kijkplaatjes vol eye-catchers en gedurfde combinaties van decoratie en kunst. Of het nou grafische prints zijn, designer toys of fotografie; mijn aandacht heeft ‘ie! Voor de binnenkijker van vandaag selecteerde ik drie woonkamers met blauwe details.
De woningen hebben naast een zorgvuldige combinatie van kleuren en minimalistische details, maximale aantrekkingskracht. Ook heeft elk interieurdesign minstens twee meubels van eigen hand en speelse decoratie. En als ik al zijn werk doorblader spot ik ook enkele koffietafelboeken van mijn favoriete fotograaf David LaChapelle.
“Fuck the good art, this is how we see it”. Torres is een ware curator! Zijn klanten zijn creatief en daar sluiten de interieurkeuzes volledig bij aan. Zijn keuzes zijn een teken van lef. Ik raad je ook aan om de andere kamers van deze huizen te bekijken, zoals de badkamer van de laatste woning in deze selectie. En als kers op de taart: de structuren en texturen in alle woningen zoals het beton en de houten panelen en het ruwe vloerkleed.

Perfectionist Guilherme Torres is my hero when it comes to interior design! His interiors are a picture puzzle filled with eye-catchers, daring combinations, decorations and art. Whether there are graphical posters, designer toys or photography: he got me! For today’s home tour I picked 3 living rooms that inspire me and are themed with a blue color.
The colors and minimalistic details of the homes are curated. Minimalistic with a maximum effect. Each interior design got at least two design pieces by Studio Guilherme Torres and a handful of playful decoration. What I really like is the amount of coffee table books I spot, like some of my favorite photographer; David LaChapelle! And last but not least – if we are talking about Torres’ signature – the use of textures and structures. Like in todays examples: the concrete walls, wooden panels and furry rug.
