Deze serie 60-plussers is de visie van de talentvolle fotograaf Alex de Mora die graag gedurfde portretten schiet voor magazines als i-D, Vice Magazine, Nylon Guys en Dazed & Confused. Maar ook grote merken zoals Coca Cola, Nike, Johnnie Walker en Converse tot zijn klanten mag rekenen. Zijn portfolio is controversieel, commercieel, ruw en eigentijds met een vleug humor. Zo ook deze serie genaamd ‘Life of Leisure’ die hij als fashion editorial pitchte aan Vice Magazine en schoot.
De inspiratie voor deze serie senioren in vrijetijdskleding kreeg hij door enkele foto’s die hij in zijn vrije tijd maakt van zijn oma. Zo zie je maar weer dat je niet ver hoeft voor inspiratie! Hij fotografeerde de serie in zijn eigen studio in London en zorgde voor een monochroom kleurenpalet voor een surrealistische sfeer. Een fantastische serie! Dit smaakt naar meer…

London based photographer Alex de Mora casted people over the age of 60 for a series of leisurewear hipsters. De Mora, who shoots for magazines like i-D, Vice, Nylon Guys and brands like Cocoa Cola, Nike, Johnnie Walker and Converse, got this amazing controversial, commercial, raw, contemporary and fun signature I liked immediately while flipping through his portfolio.
So does this series he pitched as an idea for a fashion editorial in Vice Magazine. He got inspired while taking pictures of his grandmother. Luckily Vice Magazine agreed on this amazing series he shot in his studio in London. For the complete picture he used a monochromatic use of colors for both the background, clothes and decoration to create a surrealistic stylize tone. I’m a sucker for series like these, they make me greedy 😉
