Het valt niet mee om de juiste verlichting te kiezen voor de juiste kamer. Mijn zoektocht naar de juiste lamp voor mijn woonkamer heeft dan ook behoorlijk lang geduurd. Noem het een avontuur, dwars door diverse woon- en webwinkels. Maar, het is me gelukt om een vloerlamp te scoren die aan mijn eisen voldoet…
Ein-de-lijk is de “salontafel-collage” compleet. Je kent het wel, zo’n gedachte die je voor lange tijd bezig houdt. Ik ben fan van de de diverse bijzettafels in plaats van een grote salontafel, maar miste balans. Tot ik de kleine bijzettafel Stone Diabolo vond op wonenmetlef.nl! Het materiaal sprak mij meteen aan!
Ik ben een groot fan van beton en als ik vandaag nog zou kunnen verhuizen naar een loft vol betonnen details, dan zou ik geen moment twijfelen. Afijn, beton dus, maar ook een elegante vorm en iets lager dan de overige bijzettafels waardoor er in mijn ogen eindelijk balans is. De tafels zijn qua vorm en materiaalverbruik een verzameling eigenschappen waar ik van houd. Met Cumi van Zuiver ben ik al jaren blij door het contrast van “wilde” houten magnolia takken versus het strakke hoogglans witte tafelblad. En de driepoot van Leitmotiv is zo flexibel dat ‘ie regelmatig verhuist naar de badkamer of het balkon.
De OMG stoel van het altijd inspirerend label Zuiver heeft een nieuw jasje gekregen! Een leren jack om precies te zijn! Elegant met een dosis ‘swag’ om aan te duiden hoe stoer deze OMG LL stoel is. Deze leren look is eigenlijk PU-leer. Zuiver omschrijft het als “less trouble and just as much style as leather”. Prachtig! Het comfort is gelijk gebleven, kortom hij zit net zo lekker als het origineel – en geloof me: dat zit als gegoten!
Naast een tik voor glazen en vazen, heb ik een tik voor lampen. Het is aan de ene kant een zegen zo’n klein appartement, maar aan de andere kant ook wel beperkt. Slechts 2 kamers, drie als je de hal mee telt. Oké, vier dan, inclusief het kleinste kamertje! Maar ondanks die beperkte ruimte zorg ik wel voor een verrassend lichtplan.
Naast 4 verschillende merken, zijn de lampen ook compleet anders, dat realiseerde ik me toen ik op een benauwde vrijdag door mijn huis liep te ijsberen. Ietwat anders dan anders zo’n post, maar ik vond het zelf wel leuk om de verschillende lampen in mijn appartement met je te delen. Mijn meest favoriete lamp blijft toch wel Fringe van Zuiver, in mijn slaapkamer.
Als je haar maar goed zit! Sommige van mijn vrienden hebben ritualen voor de spiegel, ikzelf oefen slechts rare bekken of zorg voor de ‘i’ op mijn haarpuntjes 🙂 Project “Hal” is nog steeds in ontwikkeling maar nu één deel van de lambrisering geverfd en wel in de hal staat, het plaatje uit mijn hoofd vorm krijgt… beginnen mijn handen toch echt wel te jeuken! Ik kan niet wachten om alle decoratie een plek te geven, maar over de spiegel ben ik nog niet volledig uit.
Voor deze Fancy Friday heb ik mijn keuze gemaakt! Mocht het een ronde spiegel worden dan kies ik voor de Round Wall van Zuiver. De eikenhout look zorgt voor een mooi contrast met mijn Blueberry Dream muur. Hieronder de gehele selectie!

Last week the Fringe lamp and the louvre doors finally arrived, so my bedroom is almost finished the way I imagined it. To finish it all I need some decoration pieces for the cupboard and an art piece for the wall. I never thought I would like it this much! The color blue makes me feel calm – which helps me get rest – and the new ceiling lamp adds a different layer and creates a contrast. And last but not least, the louvre doors to the bathroom are creating more space. Enjoy my master bedroom part 2!
In my previous post on my bedroom redecoration you see where it all started. From beige to blue is a huge difference but I never felt so calm and relaxed before hitting dreamland. And the start of the change: my Piet Hein Eek cupboard, is situated on the opposite of my bed so I see it every morning while I wake up. Almost 4 years I had a beige bedroom which looked like a hotel room on purpose, but now it looks more like a modern boudoir. Also on purpose, but I never thought I would ever buy a ceiling lamp like this. But it’s more ‘out there’, more daring!

It’s almost like I’m in a blue mood but this piece of street art has been on my mind lately. Unfortunately I didn’t shoot this one by myself, but I love every detail about it. Ghostly shapes, grunge look-and-feel but so intriguing and yet inspiring. Looking at it reminds me a bit of the new Spring Collection by Ferm Living, but also works of the famous baroque and roll duo Jimmie Martin and – earlier mentioned – HK Living. I’ve been looking for a great art piece for months now but this piece of street art is something I would really love to have! Anyways I’ve created a color scheme and collected some brands which popped in my mind while looking at this urban street art. Get inspired by street art from Wide Open Walls in Gambia!
Have you seen the new collection of Danish brand Ferm Living? The new ‘Pen’ collection is where the pen is in charge of the print. This collection with tablecloth and napkins suits the best with this style of street art! See below if you haven’t seen the collection yet. Also from the color scheme I created I picked some grungy textiles from HK Living. A cushion with dripped shapes like the bottom of the street art, and a rug which contains the brightest blue in the whole picture. The Louis All Black by Jimmie Martin adds some class and ‘Fringe’ by Zuiver finish it all.
If you are looking for an edgy color palette, this collage is your cup of tea! Personally I really love it and recently ‘dipped’ my bedroom in this style. Ceiling lamp ‘Fringe’ is luckily on it’s way for my new blue bedroom 🙂

Although my blue bedroom isn’t completely finished yet, I would like to share it with you! The blue-colored walls are now on it for a week and I love it! I feel more calm going to bed – it’s more peaceful now that I’m surrounded by the color of air and water. Off course I couldn’t resist to buy some new decoration with a touch of blue :). The partly blue concrete vase by House Doctor was on top of my list. Next to that I bought a ceiling lamp by Dutch Design studio Zuiver. Fringe is different and something you wouldn’t combine with the rest, but that’s why I had to have it. It’s neo baroque and the anthracite grey fits within the color scheme I had in mind. There are still some little todo’s on my list, like painting the doors and frames silk white, getting louvre doors towards my bathroom and some art for the wall above my Piet Hein Eek cupboard. But for now, here’s a first look into my new bedroom!
My blue bedroom wall is painted Histor ‘Eigen’ and ‘Saffier’. They are slightly different but enough to create a subtle contrast. Raoul Dufy, a French Fauvist painter (1877-1953) who’s paintings mostly consisted of the color blue once quoted “Blue is the only color which maintains its own character in all its tones… it will always stay blue”. I like it because it equals my characteristics. Although my goals, taste and behavior changes like the weather, I’m always that weird ‘oddly’ people person. I can’t to finish my todo list and share the whole picture with you!

Zuiver is een Nederlands designmerk die pure meubels en woonaccessoires creëert. Onlangs zocht ik het internet af naar het merk achter mijn favoriete eyecatcher: de Cumi Occasional bijzettafel. Cumi is een kleine samenvatting van twee verschillende stijlen die ik waardeer en hanteer in mijn eigen woning, namelijk: natuurlijke materialen en hoogglans wit. Nu blijkt het pure design label Zuiver het merk achter deze fantastische bijzettafel te zijn. Natuurlijk kon ik mezelf niet weerhouden om de overige meubels te checken. Laat je inspireren door het brede aanbod bijzettafels van Zuiver en de pure vormen…
Cumi, daar begon deze zoektocht mee. Toch is Zuiver meer dan alleen een merk voor bijzettafels, je vind ook lampen, zitmeubels en woonaccessoires in hun collectie. Zelf verwoorden ze hun merk het beste: “It is the diversity of the products that create an inspiring and powerful collection in a playful and modern style”. Speels en modern is exact hetgeen me interesseert bij Zuiver. Bijzettafels zijn een van mijn favoriete meubels. Ze zijn klein, functioneel en vaak creatief gebouwd. Daarnaast zie je ze ook in steeds meer kamers dan enkel de woonkamer. Zuiver biedt een brede en diverse collectie aan. Enjoy!
