Leap is de bus voor alle tech-lovers in het Marina district van San Francisco! Deze bus is namelijk een lust voor het oog en biedt een bijna VIP-behandeling op het gebied van particulier vervoer. Leap is voorzien van 3 unieke zitcombinaties, ruime comfortabele stoelen en een laptop bar om aan te werken. Daarnaast kan iedere bezoeker gebruik maken van de gratis WiFi, verschillende USB-porten en de ‘buy-on-board’ snack service.

Het team achter dit geniale concept bestaat uit revolutionaire designers met oog voor detail, en dat is te zien! Het interieur is smooth maar robuust door het materiaalgebruik. Metalen buizen, gelakt hout, softe zittingen en een ruw houten plaat voorzien met het logo. Vervoer wat niet op vervoer lijkt, maar waar nagedacht is over de gebruiker! De bus is qua kleurenschema helemaal voor me gemaakt: blauw van buiten, ruw en industrieel van binnen. Je begrijpt het: ik ben fan!

Of Leap ook naar Nederland komt weet ik niet, maar als fervent UBER-gebruiker ben ik toch wel erg benieuwd naar de ervaring van deze bus! Ik ben voor, wat jij?

Leap is a private transportation company developing rider-friendly mass transit solutions. Based in San Francisco, Leap’s core team is made up of designers at heart, focused on bringing design-based solutions to some of commuting’s most intractable hassles. Leap’s inaugural route, introduced in 2015, shuttles commuters from San Francisco’s Marina district to downtown in comfort.

The entire bus has been redesigned to create a comfortable space for commuters. Three unique seating areas include a social perimeter for chatting with neighbors, spacious front-facing seats for reading a book or catching up on a podcast, and a laptop bar for getting a jump start on work. Each bus features Wi-Fi, USB ports for powering devices, and buy-on-board snack service featuring some of San Francisco’s finest brands. 

I hope to get to know more urban transportation concepts like Leap. As a huge fan of the UBER I’m a bit spoiled with the idea of private transportation 🙂 What do you think?
